Gopi Desai, a graduate of National School of Drama (NSD), worked as Production Assistant at ISRO in the initial years of her career, along with doing extensive theatre in Ahmedabad. Soon after, moving on to Mumbai, it's been 36 years! Been active on stage, television and films, it's been an enriching journey, from acting to direction! She's won accolades & awards in direction spanning from National Awards to International Awards for her films! 'Mujhse Dosti Karoge?", and " Bas Yaari Rakho". Her documentary film 'Manzar' won Filmfare Award. She's also a recipient of the prestigious V.Shantaram Award. Her films have been critically acclaimed and screened at 47 International film festivals. Recently, she received 'Lifetime Achievement Award' from Transmedia. She's been part of national and international jury of renowned film festivals! She's passionate about children's interests and women empowerment. Her films revolve around her passion and she continues her beautiful journey of accomplishments with more momentum in the years to come!
